Smart phones and mobile devices have enabled teachers and students to bring the resources of the Internet into any classroom. No longer does the teacher (or students) need to be stuck behind a monitor while using technology. Google Docs and applications make it easy to use "the Cloud" to empower collaboration, instant portable assessment and time-shifted written interaction from almost any location. The presenter will explain the above terminology and demonstrate with an iPad and iPhone. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with Google from their phones or devices.
*Note: Other internet-enabled devices should be able to be used during the workshop, but the presenter may not be able to provide support (although fellow participants may).
GTB, is this your JALT 2010 workshop abstract? KOTESL?
ReplyDeleteIt's my TNT Pre-conference workshot abstract. It will be on Friday afternoon around 3:30, I think. I'll check and post the time.
ReplyDeleteOh, btw, you can see a post about my KOTESOL prezo on the TESOL 2.0 blog here: http://tesol20.blogspot.com/2010/10/xtranormal-for-tesol.html
